About the game from Steam
Ebbtide is a real-time zombie survival strategy game. You command TF-1 "Ark", humanity's last carrier task force. The war begins in Los Angeles, from the Hollywood Hills to the Port of LA. Direct operations across the city, fight on its streets and carry the campaign across the world.

The Map Is the Battlefield

Scroll into any street on the operations map and it becomes the live battlefield, with no loading screen. Scroll back out and the fight keeps running. There are no separate missions and no hidden auto-resolve: every soldier lost, zombie killed and building destroyed carries back to the map.

Command a City Under Siege

Pause, or run the operations map at up to 4x, as LA's 15 districts slide from Hold to Crisis to Lost. You cannot save everyone, so decide who to pull out first.
  • Order National Guard, LAPD and LA County Sheriff's units to hold, delay or withdraw, and call in Marines from Camp Pendleton.
  • Send truck and helicopter convoys with supplies, troops or refugees.
  • Pull out units and survivors cut off behind the lines before the horde reaches them.
Only hordes within your forces' line of sight are visible on the map.

A Horde That Fights Back

Los Angeles is overrun by a million zombies, perhaps more. The Nexus, the hive mind that controls them, ambushes convoys, cuts roads, besieges bases and hunts stranded units. You always get a warning before an attack: reroute, retreat or call in fire support from the map.

On the battlefield, zombies pile up to climb walls and rooftops and cling to helicopters hovering close to the ground. Soldiers killed by the horde rise again as zombies.

Command Your Forces. Take Direct Control.

Set squad formations and combat stances, and command tanks, Bradleys, LAVs, Humvees, and Apache and Viper attack helicopters. Fast-rope troops from Black Hawks, or land helicopters on rooftops and deploy your squads. Press TAB to take direct control of a soldier, tank or helicopter.

Bring the Firepower

Call in fire support from the operations map or the battlefield:
  • M777 howitzers and HIMARS rockets
  • Destroyer guns and Tomahawk cruise missiles
  • Carrier F/A-18s, plus F-15E, F-35B and A-10 strikes
  • AC-130J gunship and MQ-9 drone orbits
Ship magazines are finite, and heavy weapons bring buildings down.

Build Your Own Base

Choose where to dig in and build a forward operating base. Raise HESCO and concrete walls, add gates and scaffolding to defend the walls, then place gun nests, CIWS, mortar pits, an ammo depot, a fuel point and lighting.

Supply is what keeps the fight going. Soldiers, vehicles and aircraft burn through ammunition and fuel, and they can only rearm and refuel at bases you hold. Every wall needs building materials hauled in by hooklift truck or helicopter sling. The horde hunts your convoys and cuts your roads, so keep the supply lines open.

From Los Angeles to the World

The people, troops, equipment and supplies you bring to the Port of LA form your starting force aboard the Ark for the world campaign. Choose which regions to help, bring the carrier group's guns and aircraft within range, and resupply at friendly ports. Rescue the pilots and specialists you cannot train, grow the fleet with allied warships, and hunt the Nexus's hidden command nodes.

Track down the Nexus and protect what remains of the world.
