Ding's official description on Steam is "Rang the Eastern Bell", and it does not say where the bell is or how to ring it. Steam achievement list Finji's advice to stuck players is that all of the answers are in the manual. Finji news, 7 May 2024

Finji's Xbox Wire launch post shows page 28 of the manual, a map titled "THE OVERWORLD". Red arrows mark three routes leading off the map: "TO EAST FOREST" at the east edge, "TO WEST GARDEN" at the west edge and "TO MOUNTAIN DOOR" at the top. Spoiler: the West Bell box on manual page 28

A box in the lower left corner of page 28 is headed "RINGING THE WEST BELL"; apart from the place names "WEST GARDEN" and "DARK TOMB", its text is in the game's invented script. That heading names the West Bell, not the Eastern Bell. Manual page 28, Finji launch post

Check the platform achievement list for Ding. Ding is not a hidden achievement. Dong, "Rang the Western Bell", is a separate achievement, so ringing one bell does not stand in for the other.
