The farmer levels five skills from 0 to 10, choosing a profession at levels 5 and 10 that shapes your playstyle.

## The five skills

| Skill | Levels by | Level 5 choice |
| ----- | --------- | -------------- |
| Farming | Harvesting crops, caring for animals | Rancher or Tiller |
| Mining | Breaking rocks | Miner or Geologist |
| Foraging | Gathering wild goods, chopping trees | Forester or Gatherer |
| Fishing | Catching fish | Fisher or Trapper |
| Combat | Defeating monsters | Fighter or Scout |

## Notes

- Each level grants crafting recipes and small stat gains.
- Professions can be changed later in the game, so early picks are not permanent mistakes.
- Efficient skill leveling pairs naturally with [[Crops]] planning and mine progress.
