The House of Hades and the surface are full of gods, shades and mythological figures. Building relationships with them (usually by gifting Nectar) unlocks dialogue, keepsakes and story.

## The House of Hades

- **Zagreus** - the player character, son of Hades, determined to escape the Underworld.
- **Hades** - lord of the dead and Zagreus's father.
- **Nyx** - the incarnation of Night and a maternal figure to Zagreus.
- **Achilles** - Zagreus's mentor, author of the in-game codex.
- **Hypnos**, **Thanatos**, **Megaera**, **Dusa**, **Cerberus**, **Orpheus** and more reside in the House.

## The Olympians

Zeus, Poseidon, Athena, Ares, Artemis, Aphrodite, Hermes, Dionysus and Demeter aid Zagreus with [[Boons]] from the surface.
